The Garden Within
Dear son,
You don’t have to go far to find love.
Not across oceans. Not in applause. Not even in someone else’s eyes.
Love is not a treasure hidden in the world—it is a garden growing quietly inside you.
But here’s the twist: sometimes we build walls around it.
Tall ones. Quiet ones. Made of old hurts, fears, and “what ifs.”
And then we wonder why love feels distant.
Rumi said it beautifully: “Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it.”
So if you ever feel unloved, unworthy, or unseen—don’t go searching outward.
Sit gently with your own heart.
Ask: What am I protecting? What am I afraid of? What part of me still needs softening?
Break those inner walls, one by one.
And watch how love, that ancient guest, comes rushing home.
With all my heart,
Your Abah
